How much does it cost to record a podcast at AG Sound Studio?
Podcast recording: $800/hour (launch price; normally $1,000/hour). If you also want video, camera rental is an extra $500/hour (one camera). Build your full quote with the rest of our services on the Services page.
What's included in a room or studio rental?
The rental includes the recording booth, control room, and a sound engineer. Instrument backline costs extra if you need it.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No. The studio has studio, shotgun, and lavalier microphones, Zoom Livetrak L-12 and Zoom PodTrack P4 consoles, a Zoom H8 field recorder, and two acoustically treated booths — one for podcasts and one multi-purpose.
Can I record video during my podcast session?
Yes. Alongside the audio recording, we offer single-camera video recording for your podcast session, billed separately by the hour. If you need several cameras we coordinate that with a third party, at an additional cost.
How do I book a session?
Message us on WhatsApp, or check availability and book directly through our online calendar — your session is confirmed right there.
Where's the studio, and do you only work in Mérida?
We're in the Campestre neighborhood of Mérida, Yucatán. In-studio recording means coming in person, but services like music composition, sound design, and editing we do for clients anywhere in Mexico.
Do you offer anything for free?
Yes — a free 15-minute evaluation for audio restoration projects (noise, hum, click removal, or dialogue rescue).
What are the studio's hours?
Monday through Saturday, always by appointment.
